Join the Des Moines Chamber of Commerce and ULI Iowa for a walking tour of Highland Park's commercial district, a growing example of neighborhood revitalization through collaboration and community investment. 

Over the past several years, Highland Park has experienced significant momentum driven by public-private partnerships, strategic property acquisitions by the City of Des Moines, and catalytic investments from Invest DSM. Recent milestones include the restoration of historic buildings, new residential development, expanded local retail opportunities, and continued reinvestment along the neighborhood’s commercial corridors. 

Hear directly from local entrepreneurs, developers, and community leaders who are helping shape Highland Park’s next chapter while preserving the character and history that make the neighborhood unique. 

The event kicks off at 4 pm with cocktails and networking at the Highland Underground (3614 6th Ave), and the neighborhood tour will start at 4:30 pm.
